Next Steps to
Plan Your
Wedding Ceremony with Lance
So you ask, "What is the next step?"
A meeting
You plan to meet with Lance. This can
be done in a way that works best for you and your schedule, in
person, via phone, or even over Web Conferencing (many brides are out of
the state or country).
During that meeting, you get a chance
to share with Lance what you are hoping for, the tone of the ceremony,
any traditions you are seeking to honor, etc.
Likewise, Lance shares with you his
1,500+ wedding's worth of experience, ideas on how to include others,
mix traditions, include traditions without being to "over the top" or
too religious for your taste. He can show you how, if you wish, to have
a
full Catholic wedding without it lasing more than 35 minutes. Or
if you prefer, a short civil ceremony lasting 10 minutes, and
anything in between.
Lance bring ideas to the meeting that
you may never have heard of and you can confirm those that you've been
thinking about using. The bottom line is that this is a time of sharing
with the goal of getting to know each other and at the same time,
planning your ceremony.
After the meeting
If you choose to book Lance for the
date after the meeting, you can use the easy online forms and online
payment.
- Bride and Groom or Partner
Information Form
- Booking Agreement Form (50%
deposit holds the date and time)
- Make Online Payment or print form
and mail to Lance
Then, after you book the date, you go
online to the ceremony resources and choose and modify the ceremony,
combine them with one of your own, or develop one that is unique to your
desires. Lance will share with you his lessons learned during the online
meeting and you can use that information to put together your own unique
ceremony on paper, checking to ensure that the ceremony flows smoothly
throughout.
Follow-up
contact -
Two weeks before the wedding
At least two weeks before the wedding,
you'll need to send Lance's office your license and fee balance. Lance
will complete your certificate and get it back to and prepare the other
parts for submission after the ceremony. By doing this, we get all the
paperwork out of the way so that on your wedding day, we can focus
solely on the ceremony.
Wedding Rehearsals
Your coordinator or venue event manager will share with you their
normal processional details. To make it easy for you or your
coordinator, the ceremony logistics/directions are listed at the
beginning of every sample ceremony.
Day of the wedding
Lance arrives at the wedding location approximately an hour before the
ceremony so that he can run through highlights of what to do with the
bride and the groom, brides maids/matrons, groomsmen, musicians, and
photographer. He will also meet with your readers, father
of the bride, best man, and any others who need last minute reminders of
the few cues they each will have.
